Step 1: Uploading the Video

  1. Click the blue plus button to add a YouTube URL or upload a video file.
  2. Select your preferred language and dialect.
  3. Hit the "Generate Transcript" button.

Step 2: Verifying the Transcript

  1. Once your project says verify transcript, click on the video to validate the auto generated transcript.
  2. Play through the video to verify the text's accuracy.
  3. Assign speakers by clicking on "Create Voice" and selecting the appropriate name and gender for gendered languages like Spanish.
  4. Verify text, speakers, and timing throughout the video.

Step 3: Editing the Transcript

  1. Adjust timing by clicking and dragging the slider or using arrow keys.
  2. Split phrases if needed by hitting the enter key.
  3. Merge phrases together using the delete/backspace key on the start of the text box, or hit the merge button to the right.
  4. Keep phrases relatively grouped to ensure better accuracy and flow.
  5. Use symbols like dashes to indicate pauses.

Step 4: Saving and Validating

  1. Use the save button to ensure progress isn't lost.
  2. Hit the "Validate" button to confirm the transcripts accuracy.
  3. Confirm and wait for the translation process to complete this could take some time.

Step 5: Post-Processing Actions

  1. Make further edits to the translated transcript using the pencil icon.
  2. Download different files like MP4, MP3, Flac, or subtitle files (VTT/SRT).
